Margaret Jessee Phelps is a lifelong resident of Norton, VA., a cozy little town located in the lush green mountains at the southwestern tip of Virginia, nestled between Kentucky and Tennessee.  Writing started out to be a way of expressing herself through fiction, then the text took a turn early on.  Without even realizing it at first, she had turned the book into a dedication to her deceased father of sixteen years, filling it with sayings and illustrations of his good deeds which she witnessed in her growing years..making her a better person for it.

Margaret has two wonderful and loving sons, Rick and Jason, two beautiful granddaughters, Brittany and Hannah Brooke, and many loving family members.  Sequel to "Crude Awakening" is well into the makings.  It is titled  "The Rising Sons".  Look for it in the near future!
